A constant threat to heritage libraries: theft • Despite the sophistication of its protection systems, the modern age is not immune to the phenomenon of book theft. By recalling the main cases that have occurred since the end of the 20th century, this article shows that the protection of heritage collections is everyone’s business: professionals and users alike.
