Trench cake and spotted dog: battlefield cooking at Dijon library
To mark the centenary of the First World War, Dijon central library has drawn up a menu featuring the finest battlefield recipes from its cookery book collection. The library is also planning a series of research events on the theme of food and drink from 1914 to 1918, bringing together specialist scholars to explore the theme.
