"A little, a lot, madly...passionately?" Librarians faced with a still ever-increasing production of children's literature

Children's book publishing is facing the phenomenon of inflation. The author of the article questions the reality that lies behind the figures and identifies a few major tendencies. She underlines the fact that although media coverage is still insufficient, professionals have at their disposal for information gathering a range of specialized periodicals, selections, study days and fairs. Finally, she analyses the different strategies of the actors concerned faced with this overproduction: publishers, bookshops and above all librarians.
