Training for Users or Training for Librarians ?

The rule of free access and autonomy for the researcher, as a model, has brought about types of training which leave the role of educators, played by the librarians at the information desk, in the shade. The professional literature is slim on these questions. The introduction of new information technology, in rendering a pedagogical accompaniment to each tool obligatory, affects not only the training of users but, above all, disrupts the on-going training of librarians.
