The library-documentation centre, a necessity

The introduction of the libraries-documentation centres in the schools lies within the scope of a more general thinking about the initiation to the reading. The facts prove it is a plan of a team which mature slowly and develop new educational practices. In comparison with other reading places, the BCD is an original structure of the children daily life where they may be active. Frequenting a documentation space as they learn reading develop, even for the youngest, some behaviours of independant readers and searchers.
