Some thoughts about training the users of bibliographic databases

The training of bibliographic databases users, often restricted to one base and to the practice of a single software, confines the user in a technical and incomplete savoir-faire. Besides, the usefulness of bibliographic references is not fully appraised ; the reason comes from the attitude of the producers and the mediators who do not care about marketing and ignore the need for management ; these two aspects should be introduced in the training programme of the mediators.
