Shhhh! Silencing stereotypes? Advocacy for a changing profession
Librarians all too often have a negative image in pop culture and in the collective imagination. Clichés and stereotypes feed in to a perception that is very different from the reality of a fast-changing profession and the skill sets of the information professionals employed in today's libraries. How can we take back this image and improve it by means of professional advocacy?
