Freedom of choice: The Ardèche département library programme for special populations
In this rural département, the term “special population” refers most notably to elderly inhabitants in retirement homes, but also includes people living in geographically isolated areas with no easy access to cultural resources. The département library offers a range of services to meet the needs of a wide variety of user categories, from the Culture Bleue mobile library supplying books to retirement homes to video recordings of library events.
