Organising mediation in science collections in local authority libraries
The starting point for the article is an analysis of the place of science collections in local authority libraries. It studies librarians’ attitudes to the collections, how they are organised and placed in the library, and looks at examples of promotion and mediation. The article concludes with a study of the “virtual mediation” of science collections online.
