What pooling resources can achieve: the example of La Rochelle

Three years on from his previous article on the topic for BBF, Olivier Caudron, director of the La Rochelle university library, discusses new aspects arising from the implementation of the LRU law: a reduction of resources and a rise in charges. The library has achieved some financial breathing room by cancelling periodical subscriptions and working to pool resources with other universities and with local public libraries.
