Where will Cameroon’s libraries be in ten years?

Cameroon’s library network is still relatively young, as is indeed the wider book circuit. The university library network is only just getting off the ground. These libraries rarely receive new stock, which raises considerable difficulties for students and teaching staff alike. Very few secondary schools have a library, however small, and the public library network is almost non-existent. Only a very few local authorities and privately run associations make reading matter available to the people of Cameroon.
