Using Netvibes to share a web monitoring service: a case study at the Rouen library service

The Rouen library service recently launched a shared web monitoring portal for internal use. The aim was to encourage librarians to take part in new projects by giving them access to the latest news about the profession, a powerful bibliographic tool, and a collaborative approach to the Internet. Librarians were trained to use Netvibes; the portal, christened "Signets de Gustave" (named after the city's most famous literary son, Gustave Flaubert), enables them to engage with the online tool and integrate web monitoring into their daily work routine, thereby creating a fully collaborative web monitoring system.
