The library at the Cité internationale de la bande dessinée et de l’image (Angoulême)

CIBDI, the International Centre for Comics and Images in Angoulême, was founded in January 2008 as a public body promoting international cultural project management. It combines the duties of two local associations, the CNBDI (National Centre for Comics and Images) and the Maison des Auteurs authors’ residence. This article presents the CIBDI library, which has special heritage holdings in national and international comics, as well as a documentary resource centre, and public reading room, all devoted to the art of the comic strip.
