Restoring France’s paper-based heritage: an overview
This article focuses on the evolving definition of what it means to restore France’s paper-based heritage and looks at the situation of heritage professions and training past and present. It also looks at the immediate future for restoration. As restoration is by no means the only possibility for the conservation of documents, it is important not to overlook the possible benefits of non-restoration.
