Internet legal deposit at the French National Library: the legal context, collection building models, professional evolution

The Copyright and Related Rights Project in the information society provides for the extension of legal deposit to include Internet sites. The Biblio-thèque nationale de France (the French National Library), together with the Institut national de l'audiovisuel (the National Audiovisual Institute), is responsible for collection building. This combines three types of collection building: automatic capturing thanks to robots, subject selection carried out by expert librarians and single deposits.
