Evaluating information on the Internet : the challenge for training
Knowing how to identify and evaluate information found on the Internet presents specific theoretical and methodological difficulties and calls for even more competences than for the mastery of those in the traditional information area. Extensive information literacy training is urgently required for students, both theoretical and technical, in association with academic staff and libra-rians, to create a new "information culture".
