Political correctness and non-fiction children's books
The author of the article notes that if censored books belong more to the realm of fiction, certain disturbing subjects have for a long time been excluded from non-fiction children's books. Themes which describe the reality of our society are being addressed today and bring much needed enlightenment to young people who read them. However, before non-fiction books take on a subject, novels are often the first to lead the way.
