Research Libraries in Poland
Research libraries in Poland make up a heterogeneous collection, notably as far as the importance and the quality of their collections are concerned. Those of the universities and major schools receive the public and students but are very little used by researchers. Information technology has been an opportunity to harmonize standards and develop catalogue sharing. Forty librarians are working on the Nukat collective catalogue. The National Library remains the largest research library.
