Cooperation of libraries in France: a new age?
The necessity for cooperation among libraries, as well as the tardiness of French libraries in doing anything about it, have constituted some of the recurrent topics in professional literature for the last thirty years. Just at the moment when long sought objectives seem within reach, upheavals in the institutional world and unpublished electronic information products introduce a new discrepancy between public policies and reality. By examining the existing networks of cooperation, this article attempts to highlight new trends.
