Oh, so you write? A brief account of the publications of librarians

Starting from a corpus of documents and surveys, the article seeks to build a profile of the librarians who publish in the professional field or in other disciplines, and to know more about those who produce literary works. Who are they? Where do they work? And are there establishments which favour the activity of writing? Of what type? Are certain places, or certain hierarchical situations, favourable or unfavourable? One reaches the conclusion that even if writing is regular enough within a small group of librarians as to appear to be an integral part of their profession, nevertheless it remains a rarely pursued activity, rather poorly distributed in the profession, and one that clearly suffers from a lack of professional recognition.
