The Management of Human Resources: Some Indicators

The management of personnel or human resources, little touched upon in librarianship, must rely on the objectives which the library wants to reach. The author of this article presents and analyzes some indicators which allow one to supply elements of information on the library's operation: the hours dedicated to serving the public and to internal work, the level of activity. Four specific examples are retained which detail the workload, too often little known or under-estimated.
