Between Tradition and Innovation: the Practices of Researchers in Economy Management

This article concerns itself with the observation (supported by interviews) of documentary practices of researchers of the university of Paris-Dauphine (post-graduate students and teacher-researchers). The diversity of needs induces different practices: for essential journals and following documentative news, the printed source still appears to be irreplaceable, the complete text on electronic supports has seemed to be rather like an enlargement of the documentary holdings of the library. For factual and numerical data the electronic support is a necessity. Printed documents and electronic documents are used, then, in a highly complementary way.
