The Role and Efficacity of Reading Programmes
Reading programmes have been practised in a number of places for around twenty years. But, what exactly is a reading programme? This article offers a precise definition, taking account of research showing their efficacity, and advancing hypotheses to explain this efficacity. However, there are limits to reading programmes, so it is necessary also to take into account the reasons that the results obtained may be the inverse of those projected.
