Educating the Public: Three Experiments Carried Out in the Public Libraries of Amiens
In the public libraries, the education of users is rarely a pre-occupation. However, new services might emerge which ally themselves with such education. In this article, three experiments are described which were put in place in public libraries in Amiens: training in the new technologies of information and communication, the promotion of the book and reading in infancy, a service to aid in the search for employment.
