Information Training in University Libraries: a National Inquiry 1997-1998
A national inquiry, carried out in 1997-1998, gives a snapshot of information training in French university libraries. Even if such training has developed in a short time, they remain centred on the library, its tools and services, and still concern a limited number of students. Though often requested by the university or teachers, they suffer from a lack of means by which to generalize, but also from a lack of reflection about their placement and their realization.
