Users of Parisian Libraries: Reading Practices
The results of the inquiry into Parisian libraries conducted in 1997 by the Observatoire permanent de la lecture publique à Paris attest to a strong engagement by users of the libraries in terms of reading, as much by the number of books read as by the genres which they flavour. An additional index of this engagement is revealed by the multiplicity of methods for the supply of books which they have recourse to.
