Signposting in the Library
Signposting in the library is at the crossroads of three important ideas: the lay-out of space, the orientation of the public and the image of the library. This draws together the sometimes antithetical functions of a place at once social, cultural and institutional. Furthermore, to be effective signposting must be visible, readable and intelligible.
