The National Library of Quebec

Following the example of similar organizations, the Bibliothèque nationale du Québec gathers, preserves and distributes national publications. To resolve the problem of space which has continually overwhelmed it, the bnq has firstly refitted an old industrial building in order to house its conserved collections, its registered offices and its internal services. This achievement offers a solution both economic and efficient. Some years from now, a large library will assume the mandate for the circulation of the Bibliothèque de la Ville de Montréal and of the Bibliothèque nationale du Québec.
