No to the Virtual Library
Ten years after the installation of the first cd-rom bibliographies in libraries, the first databases of French literature including complete texts are beginning to appear. Besides multiplying the capacity of libraries to make literary heritage available, the recourse to digital supports also modifies the practice of librarians and participates in a more general movement towards the redefinition of their role.
