The new university library buildings in Germany
After the reunification of Germany, the condition of the university library buildings proved to be a catastrophe. The distribution of financial means has been reviewed in such a way that some projects could be set up in the new Länder, whereas others in the old Länder had to be postponed. The author describes some of these projects and some of the finished buildings ; it gives an idea of what has been done during the last ten years.
