Micro-computer softwares at the center of the cultural production

Data processing is invading the traditional cultural industries (books, records, movies...). The softwares for the public at large have fully expanded between 1972 and 1984 ; they are more and more stand-alone and sophisticated, in comparison with hardwares. Such a development of the micro data processing publishing appears in the continuous rise in the technical and economical requirements of the cultural production ; this means that the tasks are more specialized and shared out (computer scientists, graphic designers, scriptwriters ...) and, as a correlation, that the publisher is gaining more importance, unlike the author.
