Stock management

Analysis of external and internal problems in stock management. If reductions in revenue fundings have affected bookfunds first, it is impossible to keep the loans at the same level, as the quality of the bookstock is declining ; public libraries have to rethink their policies according to the issues per book, the readers' interests and the use rate. A study of the behaviour for groups of books includes various elements (shelf life, number of issues, cost, level of the books) and is related to the whole library management system.
