Research in the Federal Republic of Germany : the role of the DFG and of the libraries
Historical survey of the support for research in Germany, from the beginning of the century to the years 50, with the Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG). This organization has settled a help system for libraries : planning of acquisitions by subjects and by levels, elaboration of union catalogs, fostering automation and research in librarianship.
