Two authors of the new edition of the Périodiques describe the outlines that have been followed to build this guide for the public libraries : a widened selection of different reviews accessible to non-specialists, and an analysis explaining the profile of each title. They also insist on the various modifications that occurred in the press area since 1978, and on the necessity for the libraries to enhance all information proceeding from that type of document.
