The ABC of databanks : two years of French databanks enquiry at the " Bibliothèque publique d'information ".
Since April 1981, the " Bibliothèque publique d'information " has been holding an enquiry service for French databanks. A two years study has revealed the number of enquiries, the types of users, their objects and the degree of statisfaction. A choice must be done between free enquiry and charging the users for a part of the cost. It appears also that the supply of French databanks is less important than of foreign databanks : which is a bar to an increase of enquiries.
