Document management policy on a shoestring
Dominique Baudin, director of the Université Paris 13 library, recently outlined the situation at his library in a message to the mailing list for ABDU, the professional body for university library directors. Since 2011, the entire budget has been taken up by subscriptions to e-resources, almost exclusively for research purposes. He explores possible solutions, from cancelling subscriptions to pooling costs though research contracts.
