Researchers of Tomorrow: British doctoral students, the digital world, and libraries
This article presents the findings of the British study Researchers of Tomorrow on how doctoral students use documents. Drawing on the responses of 17,000 participants, the study - which also incorporated a qualitative approach - underscores how students really use these resources, particularly their preference for secondary sources and their difficulties and hesitations in using online material, particularly that offered by libraries.
