Cultural practices in the digital age

Comparing the results of the 2008 survey into cultural practices in France with that carried out eleven years previously provides a general overview of how cultural practices have developed over the course of a decade marked by the increasingly widespread availability of internet and new forms of screen-based entertainment. While the advent of the digital age has not (yet?) revolutionised the general structure of cultural practices nor altered the course of most of the tendencies observed in the 1980s and 1990s, several indicators reveal the deep-seated nature of the changes underway, particularly among young people.
