From permanent training to life-long professional training

This article describes the reform of ongoing professional training in the public sector, implemented by laws modernising civil service status in February 2007. The launch of the Individual Right to Training (DIF) scheme is a key element of the reform, which applies private sector regulations to the public sector, with varying degrees of clarity. The objective is to facilitate access to professional training and to enable civil servants to manage their own career advancement more effectively.
