The Chinese collection at the Lyons Municipal Library

The Chinese collection at the Lyons Municipal Library, enriched by some 57.000 documents, figures amongst the most important in France. Born when the old library of the Lyons Franco-Chinese Institute (1921-1946) was taken over in the 1970s, its collections have more than doubled over the past thirty years. Strategies have gradually been put in place to manage and enhance it and it is now able to put on large scale events at either local or international level; and to make a significant contribution to the global information offer at the Lyons Municipal Library.
