The European Digital Library: a cultural strategy for the web
Setting up a cultural strategy for the web for the written word is a democratic challenge for Europe. In France, the steering committee for the European Digi-tal Library (EDL) published a white paper on 11 January 2006. It proposes a strategical analysis of the position of the EDL: the anticipated added value, the content, the principal actors concerned together with organizational scenarios and their possible architecture.
