The setting up of an area information policy: the example of the Latin Quarter
The Latin Quarter regroups four Parisian Universities in the fields of letters and social sciences. In consultation with the area's eight University Libraries, the Department for Higher Education launched an information map project in 2004, which was intended to harmonise acquisition practices. The first phase of the project consists in counting the print on paper acquisitions for 2005, according to their subject matter, their language of publication and their level. The second phase, under review, will analyse their use.
