The rare book stock of the Nantes University library: ambitions conceived flying in the face of reality
The Nantes University restored in 1961 has a rare books collection. Since 1989 despite the priorities of a young university, the BU addressed the existing state of affairs and put in place successive operations, which although modest due to lack of staff and resources, furthered the project: evaluation of the conditions for conservation, dust removal, stocktaking, catalogue conversion, microfilming of periodicals, exhibitions, staff training...
