Environment and integration within the city centre: the Limoges Law and Economic Sciences University Library

In 2002, the Limoges University Library for law and economic sciences moved to new premises in the centre of town. The University Library, integrated into the faculty but with little opening towards the town, has nevertheless participated in the regeneration of the town centre begun in 1998 with the opening of Bibliothèque francophone multimédia (BFM). This incipient cooperation with BFM has come up against "social distance" in spite of "spatial proximity".
