A New British Library On-line Service: INSIDE

This paper reviews the development of the British Library's activities in the area of providing access to its collections via the Internet. A specific service available for researchers called INSIDE is reviewed. This service gives access to over 20,000 journals and 16,000 conferences all detailed down to article or paper title level as well as a means of ordering documents and receiving those documents within guaranteed timescales. This is the first major development in an even more ambitious digital library programme that is being developed by the British Library.
