Leisure CD-Rom : propositions for an analytical scheme

Over the past four months, libraries have been investing in the purchase of leisure CD-Rom, but the development of this new type of media triggers many problems from a juridical and technical point of view, and also about the kind of analysis and evaluation which can be made of them. Trying to evaluate the content of a CD-Rom at first glance is strictly impossible, considering the complexity of its organization. This article presents a proposition for an analytical scheme, divided into three parts : a global presentation (subject, targeted audience, pedagogical interest), an analysis of the documents (texts, sounds, pictures) and a study of the ergonomy (help functions, navigation tools, practical functionalities, etc.).
