Acquisition policy of the audiovisual documents at the Bibliothèque de France

The audiovisual department of the BDF has an ambitious acquisition policy to complete the bookstocks proceeded of the legal deposit and to make the collections more accessible. As it is impossible to be exhaustive, it directed its choices in accordance with a logic of content and use, which takes account of the existing collections and the very plan of the new National library. More of twenty agreements are already signed concerning the acquisition of rights of still and moving images with public organisms and private partners.
