The working of the removal in the Record and audiovisual department

The Record and Audiovisual department of the National Library collects, conserves, describes and communicates all the sound, video and multimedia recordings subjected to the legal deposit. It acquires moreover supplementary collections in France and abroad. Heir of the archives of the National Record Library, the department of inheritance vocation is the unic specialised department of the National Library which is integrated into the BDF. Many factors have delayed its admission among the workings of the two institutions. But, since 1992, workings specific of audiovisual (retrospective catalogue, acquisitions, transfer on a rack) have been integrated into the agreement. They have allowed original actions and the training of contractual staff who could be an interesting contribution in the future BDF.
