The Médiathèque de la Cité des sciences et de l'industrie

The Médiathèque de la Villette, which opened its doors in March 1986, has built up complementary and cooperative connections with the Cité des sciences et de l'industrie and its exhibition and shows areas. The aim is to put sciences, techniques and industry within the comprehension of the general public. A precise description of the management, the organisation, the collections, and the public of the Médiathèque, as well as some detailed notes about such departments as Children Médiathèque, Specialised Media library, Salle Louis Braille,... emphasize the characteristics and the hopes of this public, commercial and industrial establishment.
