The Singapore Memory Project

The authors present the Singapore Memory Project, launched in 2011 by the Singapore National Library. It aims to collect, preserve, and showcase the memories of the generation that contributed to building Singapore as a state following independence in 1965. The article presents the tools created to collect and store accounts, material, and documents provided by participants, forming the content of the experiment in “public history”.
